University of Óbuda is exemplary in the system of Science and Innovation Parks
At the invitation of the Association of Science and Technology Parks (TTP Association) Luis Sanz, the former director general of the International Association of Science Parks (IASP), head of the IASP knowledge center and knowledge sharing program, have visited Hungary between April 3-4, 2023.
After the 2022 IASP European Division meeting in Budapest, the internationally recognized professional, visited the University of Óbuda for the second time, where he had professional discussions with Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács, the rector of the University of Óbuda and the leaders of the TTP Association.
At the meeting, the Rector explained the unique development program of Óbuda University in Hungary, within the framework of which the University will establish three Science and Innovation Parks in Kaposvár, Székesfehérvár and Zsámbék.
With the professional support of the Association of Science and Technology Parks, a multi-level organizational structure and a model developed along international benchmarks were created, and the business associations established for this purpose began their operations.
In the business model of the parks, the measurement and evaluation of innovation performance and the efficiency of resource use plays an important role, which enables the monitoring of sustainability and the return on investments.
The joint goal of the University, the TTP Association and the IASP is to develop a complex training program that can be integrated into the University’s domestic and international training portfolio. The cooperation contributes to the market utilization of the University’s scientific and research results and the dissemination of organizational development models.
